Spring is here yall. Let's get into what I'll be watching this season. As always, I'll take a look at the 10 most popular anime as of the time I'm writing this, see what I'll watch and then see if I'll be watching anything else.
Unsurprisingly Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc is this season's most popular show. At this point I'm tuning in exclusively for the animation, which so far ufotable has overdelivered on. I haven't read the manga, but I think it's a pretty safe bet whatever final fight we have this season, will look spectacular. Also, Mitsuri seems like a top tier waifu so you won't catch me complaining. At 2nd place we got Dr Stone: New World babyyyyy. Easily the show I'm most enthusiastic for this season. Ngl I was kinda underwhelmed by Stone Wars mainly cuz there were barely any "stone wars" in its duration, but I still thoroughly enjoyed season 1 so I have great expectations. Season 3 seems like the gang is setting sail looking for the One Piece so I hope it turns out great.

Tonikaku Kawaii season 2... pass. Haven't seen season 1 and don't plan to. Hell's Paradise is next. I know pretty much nothing about this show apart from how it's supposedly highly regarded online. Studio MAPPA naturally swooped it up as soon as they heard 3 people said it was hype on Twitter so it's probably gonna be good. Imma go in completely blind and see what it's all about. Next up we got more Konosuba. I've only seen season 1 and tbh I didn't really enjoy my time with it. A few of the jokes were funny, but as a whole it felt like something I've already seen before. I might check out the movie in a few years but it's a pass for now.
Oshi no Ko is an idol anime... pass. In terms of Ancient Magus' bride season 2, I haven't seen season 1 cuz for some reason I've always thought of it as Violet Evergarden's cousin and I found Evergarden to be a lot of flash but very little substance. It looked great, but none of the themes spoke to me, so until I've seen s1 of Magus, I won't be watching season 2. Next up is Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage. This it tough one cuz I enjoyed the beginning of the series and I think it does a good job incorporating fantastical elements in its world building, but it also fell off in the latter half. For some reason it felt like it needed to make literally everything into a plot twist no matter how insignificant or unnecessary it might have been to the overall story. It was super refreshing at first, but after like the 10th time it got old and they just kept doing it. As much as I enjoyed the first half of season 1, I don't think I'll be watching season 2 for now.

FINALLY we're getting into some BIG BOI territory with Mashle aka buff Harry Potter. I've been keeping an eye on this series for some time now and I'm glad it's getting an adaptation. It definitely has potential and if A-1 Pictures gives it they're best, this can be a shounen heavy hitter. Pretty excited for this one. Finally, we got In Another World with my Smartphone season 2. I don't know how they're financing these sequels considering 2 people have seen season 1, but I guess isekai is the golden goose that keeps giving.
Now that we've covered the top 10, let's see what else catches my eye. MAL doesn't have the episode count for it but I might also
check out My Home Hero if it sits at 12. 24 might be a stretch lol. Lastly, I might also check out Rokudou no Onna-tachi cuz I'm digging
the artstyle on the poster, though it's probably kinda deceptive. To conclude Imma rank them based on my level of excitement for each series going from most to least hyped:
Dr Stone: New World, Mashle, Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc, Hell's Paradise, My Home Hero (maybe) and Rokudou no Onna-tachi (maybe).
So yeah peeps, this season's not looking like an all out banger, but we still got some decent series with a fair amount of potential. What are yall gonna be watching?
