1 Year Anniversary + Comic Con Haul 🤯🤯🤯

Duuuude it's crazy how time flies. 1 year ago I was just starting this blog not knowing what will come out of it, with the intention of finally talking about stuff I care about and sharing the passion for my hobbies. Fast forward to today and in less than a year I somehow managed to make a TikTok channel with over 100k followers and a YouTube Shorts channel with over 5k subs. I also met up with the boys from Trash Taste (and saw my gifts make it into an episode of the podcast), spoke to my man Max Derrat who was kind enough to read one of my blog posts and messed around with AI to generate some president voice memes on YouTube and some spicy cosplay request vids on TikTok, which blew up waaaaaay more than I expected.

Overall, I've had an INCREDIBLE year with some AMAZING highlights! A massive THANK YOU to all you LEGENDS reading this and watching my videos. I couldn't have done it without you all!

I guess content creation replaced blogging as my main passion to pour time into, but instead of giving up on this website, I've decided to do one post a month, which goes over the most major thing I've done/will do. Although making videos is a lot of fun, I don't want to abandon my website which was responsible for getting me into short form content in the first place. This place is still near and dear to my heart so I'm not really concerned with its lack of reach compared to my other platforms. I plan on keeping up the monthly posts with no slowing down so if you're reading this, take this EXTRA SPECIAL THANK YOU specifically for you! Appreciate you spending your time here!

To celebrate my 1 year anniversary, I've decided to share my London MCM Comic Con pickups from this year just like I did in my last May post from 2022.

Check out these bad boys!

Let's start off with Yugioh's Tin of the Pharaoh's Gods. I really dig how they went with the tablet of memories' design. Unfortunately, I'm missing the 2020 tin so I got 2/3 pieces but I'll complete the tablet one of these days.

As for pulls, I've recorded an opening which will be uploaded some time in the future, but since you're here, I'm gonna spoil you lol. Ya boi pulled the Parallel Secret Rare Blue Eyes White Dragon with that vintage alternate art.

I also got Crossout Designator which I didn't realise was one of the chase cards until I checked later lol (I only play with character decks using anime rules).

Next up is something pretty obscure. I'm talking about the Shaman King character book. Shaman King was one of my "childhood big 3 anime" I grew up with before knowing what anime even was (along with Yugioh and Beyblade). I'm a huge fan of art books so I when I saw one for Shaman King I knew I had to grab it.

Unfortunately I can't read Japanese so all the details and starts are lost on me, but I grabbed it mainly for the artwork knowing it most likely won't see an English release so I'm very happy with it.

Continuing with the art books, I also got Jojo's AAA TV Anime Keyframe Collection. This one has a huge amount of digital production sketches as well as fully colored artwork, which is awesome! I'm kinda surprised this was the only Jojo item I got, but all the Jojo figures were like 3 times the price of other figures 😬 Oh btw the Stella art book and Trunks figure are my girlfriends, but that brings me to the Dragon Ball stuff.

Got 3 DBS Card game decks (only 1 of which is mine lol). We watched all of DBZ Kai and DBS together so now we're looking to get into the card game. Seems pretty fun, but I'm mostly impressed by the artwork on the cards.

Speaking of cards, I really went all out and got all 6 One Piece card game starter decks that are released so far. Did an unboxing vid for those too, but I'm waiting for some sleeves to arrive before I really start playing with em. I don't have any plans on buying boosters considering I'd have to sell a few organs to afford them at their current prices and a few more organs to keep up with Yugioh as well. No thanks lol, I'm good with just the decks for now.

Saving the best for last, I picked up both Whitebeard and Roger's Manhood line of figures which when combined together recreate the EPIC scene where we see both badasses clash!

The entire Oden, Whitebeard and Roger flashback is honestly my favorite flashback in all of anime. It was it's own arc, which was honestly more interesting than all of Wano up until that point, which itself was a lot of fun. Really glad to have these!

Finally, if you wanna see a quick reel of what Comic Con 2023 was actually like check out this Tiktok.
