You know the drill baby. I cover the top 10 most popular shows this upcoming season to see what I'll be watching, then jump into anything else worth mentioning.
At nunber 1 we got Oshi no Ko season 2. I did see season 1 and honestly I don't get the appeal. The moment the main idol from the beginning died meant the rebirth storyline became completely redundant. Apart from finding the murderer, the story of both main characters becoming actors/idols/influencers would be completely unaffected if they weren't reborn. Skip. Tower of God season 2 is the first anime I'll be watching this summer. Season 1 was easily the best "Crynchroll original" anime, which is not a very high bar to reach, but worthy enough to keep watching. Hoping for Rachel's inevitable demise. Alya sometimes hides her feelings I'm Russian is something I've never heard of and the fact it's in the top 3 most popular shows this season is concerning. Skip.
Fairy Tail: 100 Year Quest is something I'll get to eventually once I pick the OG Fairy Tail back up. Been stuck on episode 52 since like 2014 cuz I hated to see Laxus go. The only reason I'll resume watching it eventually is cuz I know he comes back. Isekai Suicide Squad... no lol. I'll also be passing on Days with My Stepsister... lemme know if there's a washing machine scene tho. Skipping Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World season 2. Haven't seen season 1 and don't plan to.
My Deer Friend Nokotan seems like this season's "primary goofy ahh show". Wouldn't have watched it if it was an actual deer, but it's just some girl with deer antlers. I was hoping for more of an Advdnture Time deer, but sadly that's not the case here 😞 NieR Automata Ver1.1a Part 2 wins the award for the most pretentious name this season. I saw part 1 and was trying my damn hardest to like it... but man was that shit boring af. My fault for expecting literal robots to have a personality. Aaaaaaand the last entry in the top 10 which is also a skip, No Longer Allowed in Another World. At this point every time I hear the phrase "In another world" I get a strong urge to jump out of the nearest window. Who is watching all these isekais bro? It's been over a decade since the SAO boom and they're still shitting them out by the dozen lol.
Honestly, a pretty weak top 10 for me this season. Let's see if summer can be redeemed by the less popular shows.

I can't wait for Plus Sized Elf/Elf can't go on a diet. Huge fan of the manga and have waited forever for its adaptation. Even made a video on it here. The only thing that concerns me is the quality of the animation, at least from what was shown in the trailer. The studio making this is virtually unknown, but please... I NEED THIS TO BE GOOD!
Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc is another one I'm pretty excited for. Production I.G's handing this and I have faith in them to cook. I've been meaning to get into Kinnikuman from the very beginning and not just start with Ultimate Muscle so if this is some kinda modern remake (which seems to be the case as it's being marketed as a 40th anniversary celebration special project), I'll be more than happy to check it out. Yami Shibai 13 is another watch, though not in the near future. I'm on number 4 and even though they're all super short, it's not a major watch order priority.
Of course I'll also be watching Kengan Ashura season 2 part 2, but can we seriously stop naming shit like that? Give me one good reason why this isn't just called season 3. I'm pretty sure we'll have the Sen vs Agito fight this season, so I'm ready to cope cuz my favorite character will get destroyed. The only movie I'll be watching is Mononoke's movie. I'll also check out the series before I get to it, cuz I've seen Ayakashi, but not the standalone show. Should be just in time for the movie.
